On behalf of the entire RISD staff, welcome to the 2009-10 school year. I am confident that students and parents will find this to be one of the most exciting and rewarding years that we’ve ever had.  We also hope that students will find classes more engaging; expectations of critical thinking and analysis higher than ever before; and greater opportunities to see the connections between what they are doing in school and what they expect to do in post-secondary education and careers.

It is my goal to help make the Richards Independent School District a place where all are welcome and student's can grow and develop in their learning process, not only academically but in all parts of their lives.  It is also my goal to help Richards I.S.D. to be a place where teachers want to work and parent's and the community feel welcome.
