Richards ISD will be closed again today out of an abundance of caution. Due to ice and slush still present on the bridges on FM 1791, travel conditions are unsafe for students, even with a delayed start, as freezing temperatures are expected to continue through the morning hours.
After lunchtime, temperatures are expected to rise and remain above freezing. Therefore, all basketball games will be played as scheduled, and Senior Night will still take place.
School will resume Wednesday at normal times.
